Graphite and diamond are same material but graphite only conduct electricity why ? Diamond does not conduct wh?

Diamond is in a crystal lattice with no free electrons. That is, each electron is used in a bond with another carbon atom. Graphite is not not nearly so precisely formed so there are many more free electrons which means that it is more conductive.
